Here is my AMT TIE Fighter, built straight from the box without any modifications. Entirely hand-painted, Testor's Medium Gray used as basecoat, Testor's Racing Colors Instrument Panel Matte Black used for the solar panels, overcoated with clear semi-gloss. I only spent about 2 months on this model, and it's been in several local contests. So far it's won a 2nd place, two 1st place awards, and it's taken home Best Sci Fi in the last two contests in Memphis.
