USS Dublin

By Charles Foran

This is my New Orleans class variant USS Dublin. I named it after my home town in Ireland. I hope to do an accurate version of this class in the future.

This kitbash was the result of another kitbash I did earlier which left me with a 2500th scale primary hull and nacelles and a 1400th scale secondary hull. I spotted this ship as a resin kit from Thomas models but he does not make them anymore so I decided to have a bash!! and this is the result.

The secondary hull is a cut down 1400thscale Ent D hull and the rest is either 2500th Ent D or scratchbuilt. To cover the inaccuracies in this model I have cleverlly called it a variant to cover my stupidity. Anyway, the base coat is an acrylic base grey with aztecing done in an intermediate bluegrey. The decals are, as always, JT Graphics Galaxy class, which are to my mind the best on the market.
