The "Mirror, Mirror" Enterprise from the TOS episode of the same name. Polar Lights has created a great kit in the "Snap Together" TOS Enterprise, (glueing and filling and sanding is a definate must though). The best thing they did with this kit is to include decals for all three versions of the original studio model, (first pilot "The Cage", second pilot "Where No Man Has Gone Before", and the production version that was used in the series for the rest of the run) and decals to decorate it as the Imperial Star Ship Enterprise from the above-mentioned episode. Polar Lights even tells you which version of the model should be decorated with the Mirror decals. This is all speculative though. The original studion model was never redressed with any of the markings, and in the scene from the ep where the characters cross over, and the Enterprise "flip-flops", you first see the production version, then you see stock footage of the second pilot version. The rest of the shots in the ep were of the production version. So, what I elected to do was to use the taller bridge and spiked bussard collectors of the second pilot, and all other details from the production version. Then I mixed and matched decals from the kit and from JTGraphics and PNT Models to come to the final product. The bussard collectors, in case your wondering, were painted on the inside with clear red, then backed with bright copper to get the color that the originals were painted.
