Yellow Squadron Recon Viper

By Gil Brumana

I finally finished is my Scout/Recon Viper, a two seat variant that is designed to be more logical then the two-seat Viper that showed up in the Galactica 1980 (eeecchhhh) series.

The cockpit is custom made and is now a master to be molded for a conversion set for the Revell/Monogram kit. The figures are from MMI and were re-positioned. The pilot is adjusted to a more realistic "in flight" pose and the female spotter was positioned as if she is looking out to the rear to see what might be out there after them. The canopy was scratch built from the original kit part, lengthened and reinforced. It is also now the master for the conversion set.

The model was originally built without a cockpit and with the kit exhaust burners.... I have since removed the kit burner cans and replaced them with my MOONBASE MODELS BURNER CAN SET W/ INSERTS. These more accurately portray the studio miniature's cans.
