Having a model of the Scorpio from the English television series Blakes 7 has been something that I have fancied for a few years. As there is no model kit available of it, the only avenue left for getting one was to scratch build it.

I had purchased a copy of the Blakes 7 Technical Manual a number of years ago and using the plans from it as a guide, with as many pictures of the original model that I could find (which weren't very many), set about building it.

The majority of this model has been made from plasticard,aluminium tubing and brass rod. It has taken me 3 months to build, at a rate of around 4-6 hours a week. Its length is approximately 330mm.
