The main body is the turret from Tamiya's Flakpanzer Gepard.
The turret was inverted and ERTL AT-AT Walker legs were attached to the
left and right gun mounts.
The knee joints were reworked with wheels from a Monagram Patton Tank. The hips, knees and ankles are fully articulated making for easy posability.
The top deck and cabin are made from stock plastic and the rear gun is
Tamiya's Flakvierling 38.
Various model parts were stuck on to give it added detail for realism.
It was airbrushed it with
Testor's Model Master enamels and weathered by brush with thinned flat
black enamel.
I photographed it with a Canon A70 set for asa 50 and the tightest
f/stop and slowest shutter speed possible.
For a backdrop I used the backside of a roll of giftwrap paper. I
clipped one end about a foot and a half above the model
and let it roll out far enough to stand the Walker on it, being careful
not to get any creases in the paper. I set
the camera on flat blocks of wood to hold it steady and I chose very low
angles (as if, at scale eye level) to give it a sense of height.
I photographed it in the my driveway so I could get natural light.
