In an odd move the Empire contracted out it's armor recovery to independent operators. This was great for the small companies with heavy lift and recovery abilities.
Bob's Towing & Armored Recovery was one of the many companies to jump on the deal, using many of their early salvages to better equip themselves. Commonly used was the infamous AT-AT, a large and sturdy platform used for all manner of salvage and recovery after being heavily modified.
Building it:
Take 2 AMT AT-AT's, apply Dremel judiciously, mix with equal parts CA and Aves epoxy puttyand sprinkle greeblies to taste.
Then paint and weather.
Then realize you've left off numerous little bits and quickly glue them on.
